Edmonson County is located in South Central Kentucky, along Interstate 65, less than 15 miles northeast of Bowling Green, Ky., 90 miles northeast of Nashville, Tenn., and 90 miles southwest of Louisville, Ky. The county encompasses a land area of 302 square miles, partly within the Western Coal Field Region and partly within the Mississippian Plateau Region. Edmonson County, designated as a “Scenic Byways” area by the Department of Transportation, offers more than 80 miles of scenic roads.
